Catholic Schools Spelling Bee Champ

Eighth-grader Erica Lam, of Middlefield, is the Geauga County Catholic Schools Spelling Bee champion.

One student from each Catholic school in Geauga County competed to be the Catholic district representative for the Geauga Spelling Bee. After Notre Dame Elementary in Munson, St. Anselm School in Chesterland, St. Helen School in Newbury and St. Mary School in Chardon held their spelling bees, the four students met to select their champion speller.

Erica will have the opportunity to compete against the spelling bee champions of every district in the county on Feb. 18.
