Pray for children Nov. 14

Children are in desperate need of our prayers. Join with women from around the world to pour out our hearts to the Lord for the lives of the children in our communities and around the world? Moms In Touch International is hosting Arise! Cry Out!, a worldwide day of extraordinary prayer for children and schools on Nov. 14.

Chester Christian Center, located at 11815 Chillicothe Road in Chesterland, will participate in this worldwide event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Or, check on the web site www.MomsInTouch.org for other church locations. Contact Joanne Harris at (440) 338-5921 for more information.

Moms in Touch prayer groups meet

Moms in Touch International is an interdenominational, nonprofit ministry where two or more mothers gather together to pray one hour a week for their children and their schools. Moms and grandmas witness great blessings when they pray scripturally for their children and grandchildren.

Moms with students attending West Geauga High School are invited to pray for the students, staff and school. The group meets on Monday nights from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Word of Grace Church on 9021 Mayfield Road in Chesterland.

Moms praying for the elementary schools meet at 9:15 a.m. Thursdays at the Geauga West Library. Moms praying for the college and career meet on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. at Arabica.

Ex-Muslim to speak at Middlefield church

Middlefield Bible Church will host guest speaker Joseph Abraham at 11 a.m. Nov. 1.

Abraham was born a Muslim in Egypt. While still there, he heard the good news that contrary to the teaching in Islam, Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins. He trusted Jesus as his Savior and was delivered from Islam. The Lord led him to reach the precious souls of Muslims in England.

He will be presenting this ministry at Middlefield Bible Church including a DVD of his work in England. The church meets at the Middlefield Senior Center located at 15820 Ridgewood Drive.

For information, call Rev. John Howard, pastor, at (440) 364-0688. All are welcome to attend.

Good news coming to Lindsey and Westwood schools

Youth are invited to join the free Good News Club sponsored by area Chesterland churches and Child Evangelism Fellowship in Geauga County. The club will run November through March after school from 3:10 to 4:40 p.m. only on full days of school.

The club will meet every Tuesday in the art room at Lindsey Elementary School and every Thursday in the kindergarten room 22 at Westwood Elementary School.

Good News Club is for all boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 regardless of religious background. Parents are welcome to attend the club with their child.

Children will have dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, contests, inspiring Missionary stories, meaningful songs and life-changing scripture memory verses. Children that come to Good News clubs come away with respect for authority, better character qualities, good moral values and new self worth discovering their importance and love from God.

All club workers have been screened by the CEF child protection policy and are local moms of West Geauga students who are concerned for the children of the community.

Please contact Marcia at (440) 286-3757 for a parental permission form needed for your child to stay after school. Forms may also be picked up at Lindsey or Westwood schools.
