"Kids With Character" awards
Every month, students in the Ledgemont elementary and middle schools have an opportunity to be in the spotlight for demonstrating a special character trait. Families and educators can recognize the children by returning a special "star" to the school.
During the month of September, the trait of "patience" was practiced and more than 60 stars were returned to the school telling of how the Ledgemont students displayed this trait.
At the end of the month, teachers randomly draw two to three "star" students in each class and the winners of the monthly drawing win small prizes.
September's prize winners are: middle schoolers Zachary Bennett, Kristof Ferenczi, Ava Lanning and Ben Harvey; sixth-graders Brian Geselbracht and Samantha Stetka; fifth-graders Brittany Weidner, Joel Harvey, Joey Reighard, Chloe Scott and Kaylee Khanani;
Fourth-graders Kayla Lowery, Katrina Nar, Breanna Light, Daniel Wilson, Zoltan Ferenczi and Maegan Gaffney; third-graders Drew Crandall, Rachel Hartman, Thomas Reighard, Gary Scott and Ronald Hartman; second-graders Carley Scott, Noah Bannister and Christian Bandsuh;
First-graders Thomas Combs, Nicholas Auth, Lillie Sebring, Chloe Lewanski and Suzanna Lausin; and kindergartners Skyler Blough, Brett Bandsuh, Chase Humberson and Ben Combs.
