Sunshine Shop board to award grants

The Geauga County Sunshine Shop Board is currently accepting grant requests from Geauga County not-for-profit agencies. Agencies and organizations that serve children and families in need may be eligible for grants ranging from $500 to $1,500.
In operation for more than 30 years, the Sunshine Shop is governed by a seven-member board. The mission of the Sunshine Shop is to provide assistance to low income individuals and families residing in Geauga County. Funds are raised through the Sunshine Shop thrift store located in the Educational Services Building at the Geauga County Fairgrounds by selling donated clothing and household items.
To submit a Sunshine Shop grant request, a single page letter of intent should be mailed to: The Sunshine Shop Board, P.O. Box 917, Burton, OH 44021.
Grant request letters must be postmarked no later than Nov. 10.
